Novelis, a world leader in aluminum recycling and rolled products, seeks an Environmental Engineer for our Greensboro, GA recycling facility. This position is responsible for Environmental Engineering activities in a fast paced manufacturing environment. The right candidate will have demonstrated a strong technical environmental background as well as the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and assure the continuation of our uninterrupted, regulatory compliant operations with the minimization of environmental liabilities.
Minimum requirements include a Bachelors Degree in an Environmental discipline, with experience in Health and Safety a bonus. Experience in compliance efforts related to air, water and solid waste is required. The successful candidate would also be expected to:
- Maintain environmental compliance monitoring and record keeping, and submit environmental reports.
- Manage the waste and recycling programs, prepare permit applications and facility modifications.
- Initiate corrective action programs and perform environmental training.
- Document new chemical approval and have oversight of the environmental aspects of capital projects and major maintenance activities.
